REVIVING AN ICONIC EDINBURGH PRESS
The Ramsay Head Press was the Edinburgh publishing house started in 1970 by Norman Wilson who, with Forsyth Hardy, also founded the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Although the Ramsay Head Press was by no means exclusively a publisher of poetry, it was responsible for producing volumes by leading poets such as Tessa Ransford, Alice Stuart and Charles Graves.
It is with the blessing of Norman Wilson’s granddaughter Susie that in 2026 we are breathing new life into The Ramsay Head Press.

Alice Keeling is a Lincoln-born Edinburgh-based poet, artist, and writer. She has an MSc in Modern literature and is a Faber Academy Alumni.
